It’s a Great Day for Arizona’s Historic Neighborhoods! HB2375 Passed the AZ House Today and it Wouldn’t Have Happened Without All of You! ![]()
Because of the incredible number of calls, emails, and voices raised by neighbors and Historic Preservation advocates across Arizona, HB2375 PASSED the Arizona House this afternoon on a 31–24 vote.
This didn’t happen by accident. It happened because you showed up, spoke up, and made it impossible to ignore the importance of protecting our historic districts while planning for thoughtful growth.
Every phone call mattered. Every email counted. And today, it showed.
Please thank our champions: Rep. Matt Gress (mgress@azleg.gov), Rep. Aaron Marquez (amarquez@azleg.gov) and Sen. Lela Alston (lalston@azleg.gov). Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, Councilwoman Laura Pastor, Councilwoman Betty Guardardo and Councilwoman Debra Stark were also tireless in their efforts to get the bill across the finish line in the AZ House.
Next stop: the AZ Senate!
Let’s keep the momentum going for Arizona’s historic neighborhoods!
